The Gurudwara Sahib, Gumtali project presents a thoughtfully designed sacred space that blends traditional Sikh architectural elements with precise modern planning. The front elevation is defined by elegant arches, a harmonious colonnade, and a prominent central dome, complemented by secondary domes that enhance visual balance. The Nishan Sahib is strategically positioned to anchor the composition. Clean proportions, refined detailing, and a serene material palette ensure spiritual dignity, architectural clarity, and a welcoming presence within the surrounding community context.
The project began with a clear architectural vision rooted in Sikh traditions and the cultural context of Gurudwara design. Spatial hierarchy, symmetry, and spiritual symbolism guided the massing, while early studies focused on proportions, dome composition, façade rhythm, and site orientation. Concept sketches and 3D visualizations were used to refine the front elevation, ensuring the design balanced sacred identity with functional planning and long-term constructability.
During this stage, the approved concept was translated into precise architectural, structural, and service drawings. Detailed coordination ensured accurate dome geometry, arch profiles, façade detailing, and material specifications. Construction-ready drawings, elevations, sections, and details were developed to align design intent with engineering requirements, enabling seamless integration of structure, finishes, glazing, and ornamental elements.
The execution phase focused on systematic construction sequencing, quality control, and on-site coordination. Structural works, masonry, finishes, and architectural detailing were closely monitored to maintain design accuracy. Regular site reviews ensured faithful implementation of elevations, materials, and proportions, resulting in a completed Gurudwara that reflects the original vision with precision and craftsmanship.
